Mappings serve as essential guides for data during its transfer between platforms. They establish one-to-one relationships between fields in the source system and corresponding fields in the destination system, ensuring accurate data placement.
Configuration Process:
Access Mapping Section: Within the integration flow setup, locate the section designated for field mappings.
Identify Source and Destination Fields: For each data point you intend to transfer, carefully select the appropriate field in the source system and its matching counterpart in the destination system.
Establish Mappings: Create a link between the chosen source and destination fields, typically by clicking on the appropriate fields or using drag-and-drop functionality.
Verify Alignment: Double-check that the mapped fields align correctly to guarantee accurate data transfer.
Example:
To ensure that attendee names from Cvent are correctly mapped to the corresponding field in Expo-Genie, you’d create a mapping that connects the “First Name” field in Cvent to the “First Name” field in Expo-Genie, and similarly for the “Last Name” field.
